Oasis Pro’s subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets (OPM), achieved its System and Operations Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 compliance in March 2023. This ensured that our firm had the proper controls designed to meet the trust services criteria to protect the data collected from investors on our platform from malicious attacks.
Over the past six months Laika Compliance, through their platform Thoropass, conducted our SOC 2 Type 2 audit that tested the operation of the controls we designed during our SOC 2 Type 1 process.
The audit resulted in an opinion that the auditors have reason to believe that the controls Oasis Pro has in place are suitably designed, implemented, and operated to provide reasonable assurance that our service commitments and system requirements would be achieved based on the applicable criteria. The applicable criteria measured include Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.
The importance of SOC 2 compliance is the added assurance to issuers, investors, vendors, and partners that Oasis Pro’s internal controls and compliance systems are doing a suitable job of ensuring privacy and have the proper protection and security measures in place. The focus on compliance and receiving this certification can contribute to the platform’s ongoing growth, and to its competitive position in the market.
